Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Fairfield Residents Directory. By using the reference, you accept them. If you do not agree, please stop using it.

1. What This Reference Is

Fairfield Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections concerning Fairfield and Solano County, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Rules for Using the Reference

Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the reference’s content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

Fairfield Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 and following provisions. Nothing here, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. None of it may be used to make an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another covered purpose.

4. Outside Links

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, set their own terms and privacy rules. Fairfield Residents Directory is not responsible for their content, availability, prices, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties. No promise is made that a page is accurate, complete, current, or that an outside portal will work or return a correct result.

6. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision based on a record reached through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is welcome; republishing complete pages or systematically copying the content is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted here. Continued use after the revision means you accept the changed terms.

10. Ending Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, at the operators’ discretion and without advance notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The public-record references use the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000–7931.000, where that statute applies to a custodian’s records request.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
